09 horsehead nebula

Description

This photo of the popular Horsehead Nebula was captured with a Canon EOS 600D camera attached to a telescope. The Horsehead Nebula is a dark cloud of dust and gas and a birthplace of new stars in the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. It is about 1375 light years from the Earth and located below the stars of Orion’s belt.
