Bay entrance to Stari Grad Hvar Croatia

The lower left picture quadrant shows the bay of Stari Grad (‘old town’) on the Adriatic island Hvar in Croatia. The upper right side shows the open Adriatic sea. The bay is known for elevated water levels which can flood the old town’s waterfront when the tide and the winds both drive water into the bay.
