craters along Moon terminator.scope
Description
To show the craters on the Moon, and how high their walls are, the best time to photograph the Moon is when it is as close to the half moon phase as possible. Along the Terminator, the border between the night and the day on the Moon, the Sun’s rays fall to the surface almost parallel to the ground, which creates long shadows and helps to see just how high (or deep) the craters are. Note the ‘X’ hill formation about 1/3 from the center due South along the Terminator.
