smeared moon

Description

This photo was taken with a Sony DSC-HX400V camera with the maximum possible built in zoom onto the moon close to the horizon. The moon is red because the other colors reflected by the moon are absorbed by the atmosphere when the moon is low, close to the horizon. The picture is made even more Halloween-like by its high ISO-setting of 12800 which gave the shot its grainy, smeared structure.
